CALIFORNIA PROBLEM GAMBLING TREATMENT SERVICES PROGRAM

The Office of Problem Gambling (OPG), in partnership with the UCLA Gambling Studies Program (UGSP), is currently recruiting licensed therapists to participate in the California Problem Gambling Treatment Service Program (CPGTSP).

Therapists are required to attend a State-funded, four-day, eight-hour-per-day training program on the treatment of problem and pathological gamblers in order to become an authorized provider in the CPGTSP. Participating individuals with MFT and LCSW licensure will have the opportunity to obtain up to 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Therapists who meet eligibility criteria may apply to the UGSP for admission to the training; however, due to limited space, training admissions will be on a first come, first served basis.

After completion of training, a therapist who meets criteria to become an authorized provider in the CPGTSP will be eligible to receive fee-for-service reimbursement from the State of California.
