Establishing Best Treatment Practices for Pathological Gamblers

There is substantial evidence that cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) can be greatly beneficial for pathological and problem gamblers. This study was begun to develop and test the effectiveness of a manualized CBT for pathological gamblers in order to determine the best treatment practices. UGSP will train a selected treatment provider in implementing the manual and in documenting treatment outcomes which will be tested in a controlled clinical trial.
